Recovery Month – September 2016
As we are in the midst of National Recovery Month, spearheaded annually SAMHSA, I want to point you to important drug information. So often, the critical elements – aspects that really are only known by addicts and users themselves – are not realized or understood by others. Points that are not always talked about – ones that are graphic, reality that isn’t pretty, and the truth that hurts. To bring this information forward, I worked with several male and female addicts to highlight information on four widely used drugs – heroin, cocaine, marijuana, and pills. Each week during recovery month a different drug will be focused on. Discussion of how to recognize use, why people use particular drugs over others, the pitfalls of use, outcomes, and more will be talked about. Check out the information on facebook and “like” the page so you can stay updated daily! It’s critical information!
